Alec Zemper

Owner/Instructor

Alec is a self-taught painter originally from Howell, MI. His work focuses on exploring experiences and impressions of others through portraiture and figurative drawings and paintings.

Aside from owning and teaching at Ghosthouse, Alec is also a mentor and instructor of Advanced Painting at Interlochen Center For the Arts in northern Michigan.

Anthony Cairo

Instructor

Anthony M. Cairo’s is a nationally awarded landscape painter living in Lansing, MI. He is a full time decorative artist at the Michigan State Capitol, working in. the restoration department for the past six years.

His paintings are regularly exhibited in the United States, and have been featured in Southwest Art and Plein Air magazine.

Shannon Mack

Instructor

Shannon Mack is a multidisciplinary artist living and working in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

She describes the origins of her work being derived from “of-the-moment” presence, in effect, leaving behind time capsules of the human experience. The layers that exist within her work are attempts to meet the moment with sincerity, each a foundation for the next, until a resolve is revealed.
