Often an annual tradition for painters, this class offers students the opportunity to explore the timeless tradition of self-portraiture while honing their oil painting skills. Over the course of the class, students will focusing on proportion, anatomy, and expression to capture an accurate likeness. Emphasis will be placed on building a strong foundation with accurate drawing, understanding light and shadow to create form, and mixing a limited and naturalistic palette for skin tones.
